Donald M. Gordon Chinguacousy Park and the Chinguacousy Concert Band are proud to present an expanded edition of the annual Chinguacousy Music in the Park concert series. The exceptional environment and natural amphitheatre of one of Brampton's largest and well known parks, as in the past, makes an ideal performance venue for attendance from families and their friends across Brampton and beyond. As the Brampton Arts community, we have the opportunity to once again fill the park with music, arts, and culture throughout the summer months; and most importantly, with a majority of local Brampton talent. This location is the perfect venue for your group to showcase their talents.
Call for Musical Groups:
With pleasure you are invited to perform in this year's series, which will be once again presented on Sunday evenings throughout the summer, starting at 6:30pm. As it is anticipated that some Sundays may be more preferential to each group than to others, please send your preferences of two or three suggested dates that could work for your group. As replies are received, dates will be allocated that are beneficial to all involved. Space is filling up fast; preference is given to Brampton Arts Council member groups who apply prior to March 10, 2012.
Call for other Performing Arts Groups and Visual Artists:
In order to expand the experience for the families and visitors that are attending, Brampton Visual Artists and other Performing Arts groups are invited to participate; whether it be a gallery display of their works, an information desk, or a display of the group's talents pre-show or during the intermission. There is ample space available in the bandshell area that can be filled with the best that Brampton has to offer. Don't miss out - send in your information requests today.
To apply for a performance or display location, please send your requests and basic information to: info@chingband.com
Once the dates are assigned, a detailed information package will be sent out regarding the logistics of each weekend date to all confirmed groups.
For information or to share further ideas and concepts about this series, please contact:
