Express Yourself Media Arts Contest
March 26 - May 1, 2012, coinciding with National Youth Week (May 1-7). The Express Yourself Media Arts Contest asks youth to use poetry, song, art, photography or video to answer one of the following two questions: How does youth violence impact you? ORMTA Greater Toronto Area Zone Competitions
DEADLINE: April 30th, 2012. The ORMTA Greater Toronto Area Zone Competitions is an annual event featuring some of the most talented advanced music students in the GTA. Advanced students of ORMTA members can compete in one of five competitions by first qualifying at their local branch audition. AUDITIONS FOR HAIRSPRAY!
DEADLINE: March 19, 2012. 12 NOON. March 24 & 25. Bird Entertainment is currently having auditions for a September show of Hairspray. The auditions are at Chinguacousy Park Ski Chalet, 9050 Bramalea Rd. Call backs are in mid April at the same location. For your audition, prepare a verse and chorus (a cappella) from a Broadway show for the audition. For the call backs you will be given a character specific side to prepare. Synergy Music Rising Star Talent Show Auditions
When: March 2. 2012. Synergy Music is searching for the best performers that Brampton has to offer! Registration begins January 16, 2012, followed by two months of auditions in Brampton, Mississauga and Toronto; time will vary depending on how many acts enter the competition. The final leg of the competition will see five contestants battle for top prize and the esteemed Synergy Music Rising Star Trophy at Lester B. Pearson Theatre in Brampton, Ontario.
