AUDITION NOTICES

Sunday August 19 from 1-4pm and Tuesday, August 21 from 7- 9:30 pm. Peel Panto Players will present “Jack and the Beanstalk” as its annual English Pantomime. PPP will hold auditions for this production on at rehearsal facility 115 Orenda Road. They are looking for a cast of children (ages 6 and up) and adults. Previous experience is not necessary. Just a commitment to three rehearsals per week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday), starting September 4th. Performances will take place between November 22 and December 2 at the Lester B. Pearson Theatre. During audition, you will be asked to read from the play and sing a brief song.

Sunday August 26 from 2-4pm and Tuesday, August 28 from 7- 9:30 pm. Peel Panto Players will present “What is Susan's Secret?” an American farce. PPP will hold auditions for this production on at our rehearsal facility 115 Orenda Road, Brampton. We are looking for a cast of adults - 6 males, and 6 females (age range 30 to 60 or the ability to portray these ages on stage). Previous experience is not necessary. Just a commitment to two rehearsals per week.
(Tuesday 7:30 to 9:30 and Saturdays 10 am to 2 pm), starting early September. Performances will take place between October 18-21 and October 25 - 27 at the Lester B. Pearson Theatre.
During the audition, you will be asked to read from the play and sing a brief song.

Express Yourself Media Arts Contest

March 26 - May 1, 2012, coinciding with National Youth Week (May 1-7). The Express Yourself Media Arts Contest asks youth to use poetry, song, art, photography or video to answer one of the following two questions: How does youth violence impact you? OR What can be done to prevent youth violence? There will be 9 prizes awarded to youth within three age categories. 12-15; 16-19; 20 – 24. How to Fail in the Music Business by Steve Grossman. From a webcast in Sept 2011, Grammy Award winning industry music veteran, Steve Grossman, takes us on his musical journey and shows us the mistakes songwriters/artists make in building their music careers.

NSAI Songwriter's Night
Come join us for a fun evening of entertainment at NSAI's songwriter's night at the Moonshine Cafe. We feature 4 NSAI songwriters from 8-9 PM followed by an open mic which is open to ALL songwriters. Sign up for the Open Mic starting at 7:30 PM. Each songwriter will get to perform 2-3 songs each and once all writers have played, we'll do it again time permitting.
