CALL FOR ENTRIES
Produced by Rich Marsella aka “Friendly Rich” and The City of Brampton
Nights of September 15 and 16, 2011 at Rose Theatre, Downtown Brampton
___
We are interested in artists whose works are exciting, push boundaries and are a little left of normal! We are willing to review any medium and stage of development in the artist’s career.
Depending on the nature of the artworks, there is opportunity to display in the Rose lobby and outside in Garden Square. Works can be complete in nature (ie: finished painting or sculpture) or a performance of process for spectators (ie: sidewalk chalk artistry, live sketching, etc).
We will do our best to provide means for display, however it is recommended your work be easy to set up and that you yourself are able to transport it to and from the theatre.
To apply:
Forget the cover letter! Just send...
• your contact info
• artist resume
• no more than 5 JPG photos of your best work
• a JPG photo or written description of the particular work you want to exhibit
...to victoria.mountain@brampton.ca by no later than Wednesday, August 24, 2011 @ 4pm.
If demand for exhibition space is high, entries will be selected by the Festival production team. Selection will be based on expressed sensitivity to the festival context and feasibility of exhibition.
Best of luck and we look forward to viewing your artworks!
In Partnership with the Brampton Arts Council and the Brampton Downtown Development Corporation.
