Buckhorn Fine Art Festival Call for Artists

Application deadline is January 17, 2014. Rising and established professional artists are invited to apply for entry to the 37th Annual Buckhorn Fine Art Festival, August 16 & 17, 2014 (Preview Night Garden Party: Friday August 15).

Showcasing gallery-quality displays of fine art that appeal to a broad range of art enthusiasts and collectors, the prestigious Buckhorn Fine Art Festival inspires visitors to linger long enough to experience demonstrations and special presentations by the artists themselves. Festival Park at 1801 Lakehurst Road is the picturesque woodland garden setting for the Buckhorn Community Centre and eleven permanent gallery buildings, which comfortably accommodate the works of more than 85 artists.

The definition of fine art by which submissions for the Buckhorn Fine Art Festival are measured is: "The selective re-creation of reality, to express human perspectives and values in a highly skilled fashion, incorporating creative innovation through the medium of painting, drawing, sculpture or other creative media such as jewellery, ceramics, glass, textiles, wood-turning, or photography."
For an application form, visit www.buckhornfineart.com or call 705 657 1918 (toll-free at 1 877 300 9766).
