BAC Snap'd all over Brampton!

Snapd also covered our recognition of corporate donors and sponsors at the Mayor's Luncheon for the Arts. The theme? Rule, Brittania! Good british music and food was enjoyed by all. Recipents for the Harry Dale Literary Grant, Leon Argamasilla Bacardi Award of Excellence and Arts Person of the Year were also announced. Overview: Explore an opportunity to look at sponsorship as a marketing and sales function.  Attendees can expect to get an overview of 3 key elements:
  1.  Identifying a prospect and creating a fundraising pipeline.
  2. Value proposition of the organization. 
  3. Effective Implementation of process.
Sudarshan “Suds” Jagannathan is an active and thinking citizen of India and Canada. Professionally, Suds brings 16 years in Sales/Consulting and being a catalyst for Change across the travel, telecom and financial sectors (last role - Director, Business Development, Canada - Travelport). Here, Suds has been successful in creating new or breathing life into existing 'organisms', and yield powerful results. Suds is also part of Toronto's little known secret, http://www.masadvise.ca, a volunteer consulting group, where Suds focuses on Marketing, Sales, Fundraising and Branding initiatives to non-profit agencies - again, with real results. Additionally, Suds mentors new immigrants and has served on a few non-profit boards. Suds believes in dreaming big and executing small victories that realize that dream. Latest rumor is that Suds is now transitioning over to the Social Development sector, continuing to daydream and EXECUTE. Suds' pipeline of ideas include Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Enterprises. With so much time left, Suds plays cricket for the Toronto's oldest cricket club and is learning how to sing. Perpetual Bazaar Garage Sale Fundraiser

September 8, 10AM .Perpetual Bazaar presents an IN-STORE Garage Sale fundraiser. 

Donations are being accepted in the form of craft supplies eg. wool, fabric, jewellery making, art paints,etc. or any re-usable small household items. Items can be dropped off at the store on 21 Queen Street W or call 905-453-5525 for pick up. 

We also need volunteers for the store and assisting at the summer market as well as new vendors.  Items must be hand-crafted and will be sold on consignment.

Calling Out for Volunteers!!!

Not for profit group Perpetual Bazaar in downtown Brampton is looking for volunteers to help man the shop and with special events, like Farmers' Market on Saturdays. Volunteers who are 55 and over are also asked to help create in-store items. If interested, contact abelfamily@sympatico.ca.

Schmoozefest II

February 23, 2012, 5 – 7 pm. SCHMOOZEFEST II at the Brampton Golf Club. A members networking event! A follow-up to the first very successful Schmoozefest held last May, where all members (groups & individuals) can come and let others know what is new with them. The format includes 2 minute time slots to get up and speak to everyone from the podium. Only 15 time slots available. No charge to attend or present. Light refreshments will be served. To sign-up for a presentation, please complete and return this linked form by February 9, to the office. If you are not presenting it is a good opportunity to chat with your fellow artists. Learn about her experiences in “Cindy Church, a musical journey”. Also meet and listen to Ted Outerbridge’s struggles as a performing musician in “29 Years of Survival – Magically”. The Brampton Arts Council announces the details of the 24th Annual Mayor’s Luncheon for the Arts. Many of you may have already received your invitation to attend Brampton’s favourite luncheon. "Art in the Open" call for artists and artisans

The BAC is calling for artists and artisans to participate in our annual artist event “Art in the Open” featured at the Brampton Farmers’ Market.

AitO allows Brampton’s visitors and residents access and exposure to original, hand crafted works of art. Artists and artisans providing this service make our event an authentic community and cultural experience. Art in the Open begins every Saturday 7am-1pm - rain or shine - from June 18th to October 8th, 2011.

The Studios of Brampton Tour 2011 is looking for some fresh faces!


We need committee members to meet once a month and assist in the organization and marketing of the tour. Since our committee is small and "hands-on" this is your chance to make a difference and have your voice heard, as well as support the arts in Brampton. We're looking for "creative types." HACE™ Business of the Arts Workshop Weekend

Known for her vivacious free spirit, Petty will share her triumphs and tribulations in the seminar examining her experiences. Also similarly Canadian icon, Skip Prokop of Lighthouse fame hosts his workshop “Get Rid of the Smoka Machines” expressing his life knowledge.
