PAMA's Drop In Family Activities

Saturdays and Sundays 1 – 5 pm, Free with admission
Join Peel Art Gallery Museum & Archives for fun family activities inspired by exhibitions. Each week families can make and take home easy projects for all ages.

Inventive Sculptures – Saturday, Sept. 7–8
What would you like to invent?  For what purpose? Open the box, use your creativity and imagination to "invent" something new! Will your sculpture be a new instrument, a creature or a gadget?

Abstract Art Using Abstract Materials – Saturday, Sept. 14–15
Paint with toothbrushes, q-tips and drizzle paint with spoons. Create an abstract painting inspired by Lila Lewis and her exhibition Peel Artists: Lila Lewis and Doreen Renner.

Construct your own Avro Arrow Paper Airplane – Saturday, Sept. 21–22
Can you visualize what fast moving air looks like? Is it represented by lightning bolts, flowing lines, shooting flames? Use a watercolour technique to decorate your own Avro Arrow paper airplane to show this rapid movement.

Mixed-Media Creations – Saturday, Sept. 28-29
Using both ends of a paint brush, paint and draw an abstract work of art! Add personal touches by writing words that encourage and by choosing colours that inspire. Learn what colour blocking is and add tissue paper, newspaper and other materials as a finishing touch. Be inspired after taking a look at Doreen Renner’s exhibition Peel Artists: Lila Lewis and Doreen Renner.
