CALL FOR ARTISTS - Warkworth

The village of Warkworth, Ontario is hosting its third annual Warkworth Art in the Park Juried Show and Sale on Saturday, May 18, 2013 and Sunday, May 19, 2012 at Mill Creek Park.  Artists working in many different media (ceramic, fibre art, fine art, glass, jewellery, metal, photography, sculpture and more) are invited to apply for participation in this first-class event that provides a great opportunity to display and sell work in a magnificent venue taking place during part of Victoria Day weekend.

We have completed our first round of jurying.  Do check out our web page to see some of our new and returning entrants.  Because there are still a few spots left, we have issued a 2nd Call for Entry and would appreciate you forwarding this note and the attached application to your members.

Rock School featured at Winter Kick-offs!

Thursday November 15, 4 pm. Christmas Market - Grand Opening Ceremonies. Rose Theatre Garden Square - 1 Theatre Lane, Brampton. The Rock School Christmas Choir singing some traditional Christmas Tunes handing out free lyric booklets and  Candy Canes.

Saturday November 17, 5 pm - Santa Clause Parade. The Rock School Christmas Choir will be singing on the (BDDC) Brampton Downtown Development Float. The Rock School Christmas Band will be Rockin' Out on MP Kyle Seeback's Float.

Sunday November 18, 1 pm. The Rock School Christmas Album Release Party at Sulirmaos Foodery, 73 George St. S, Brampton

www.sulirmaos.com Free underground parking in City Hall. Releasing their Christmas Album to support Sick Kids Hospital Music Therapy program.  Opening ceremonies include speeches and a small performance followed by a listening party for this new album.

Perpetual Bazaar Garage Sale Fundraiser

September 8, 10AM .Perpetual Bazaar presents an IN-STORE Garage Sale fundraiser. 

Donations are being accepted in the form of craft supplies eg. wool, fabric, jewellery making, art paints,etc. or any re-usable small household items. Items can be dropped off at the store on 21 Queen Street W or call 905-453-5525 for pick up. 

We also need volunteers for the store and assisting at the summer market as well as new vendors.  Items must be hand-crafted and will be sold on consignment.

Calling Out for Volunteers!!!

Not for profit group Perpetual Bazaar in downtown Brampton is looking for volunteers to help man the shop and with special events, like Farmers' Market on Saturdays. Volunteers who are 55 and over are also asked to help create in-store items. If interested, contact abelfamily@sympatico.ca.

Call for local talent to participate in the Brampton Global Jazz & Blues Festival

The Brampton Arts Council is proud to be on the Art of Jazz Committee, bringing The Brampton Global Jazz & Blues Festival to our City. Art of Jazz will transform downtown Brampton into a hotbed of rhythm, improvisation, harmony and sophistication. With 4 days of major concerts, themed program, workshops, jam sessions, film debuts and more, this unique community celebration will be a meeting point for international jazz greats and music lovers alike.
