Call to Artists

River Walk Art Show, June 22, 2013 in Cayuga On.

The 2013 River Walk Art Show is the third annual celebration of art held in association with the very successful Day of 1000 Canoes, a premier event that recognizes the beauty and promise of the Grand River in Haldimand County. In 2012, more than 1,000 people participated in the event as canoeists, bikers and hikers made their way down the Grand and took the time to explore the creativity of artists and artisans who exhibited their work along the banks of the river in Cayuga.

"Inspired creations by the Grand" continues to be the theme of this year's Art Show, and, in order to appeal to more artists and patrons alike, the "River Walk Art Show" is "juried" for entries and features a Peoples' Choice Award for the most attractive exhibit / display with a prize of $100 for the winning exhibitor. Artists selected by the jury to display at the final destination of the canoe route and hiking trails will be at the center of all the many activities. 10' X 10' booths are $50 (plus a refundable deposit.) Artists must supply their own tents or canopies. You can find further information and apply online at  www.haldimandartworks.ca . Applications must be received by May 31, 2013, to be considered for entry into the show. Contact Haldimand Art Works, a registered charity,admin@haldimandartworks.ca by phone  at 905-772-7000.
