March 26 - May 1, 2012, coinciding with National Youth Week (May 1-7). The Express Yourself Media Arts Contest asks youth to use poetry, song, art, photography or video to answer one of the following two questions: How does youth violence impact you? OR What can be done to prevent youth violence? There will be 9 prizes awarded to youth within three age categories. 12-15; 16-19; 20 – 24. Synergy Music Rising Star Talent Show Auditions

When: March 2. 2012. Synergy Music is searching for the best performers that Brampton has to offer! Registration begins January 16, 2012, followed by two months of auditions in Brampton, Mississauga and Toronto; time will vary depending on how many acts enter the competition. The final leg of the competition will see five contestants battle for top prize and the esteemed Synergy Music Rising Star Trophy at Lester B. Pearson Theatre in Brampton, Ontario.
